If you’re interested in learning more about performance, you can look forward to playing the latest Ares Ragnarok Games on PlayStation 5. You’ll be happy to know the team at Digital Foundry. I didn’t waste time testing the new game in under 30 minutes, comparing the 2018 God of War game to the improvements in the latest version.

Ragnarok was officially released today and is playable on the latest generation of PlayStation 5 and earlier PlayStation 4 consoles, offering single-player, hack and slash, and action-adventure gameplay. Developed by Santa Monica Studios and published by Sony Interactive, The Time is the ninth entry in the series and a direct sequel to 2018’s God of War game.

“Three years after the last game, Fimbulwinter, a great winter spanning three summers is coming to an end, which will begin the prophesied Ragnarok. Kratos and his teenage son Atreus begin their journey through nine A realm to find a way to stop Ragnarok, while trying to uncover the answers behind Atreus Loki’s identity.”

“Their journey will take them to Tyr, the Norse god of war who was previously thought to be dead. Their conflict will lie with Thor, the Norse god of thunder Thor, his half-brother Baldur and two sons Modi and Ma Gurney’s death seeks revenge. Odin, father of Thor, king of the Norse gods; and Freya, ally-turned-enemy, seeking revenge after the death of her son Baldur.”

“Ragnarok is set in the world of Norse mythology, but expands on the narrative of its predecessor with a greater focus on exploration and open-world gameplay. While God of War (2018) allows players to enter six of the nine realms of Norse mythology, the Ragnarok’s expansion focuses on letting players explore each of the nine realms, including the addition of Svartalfheim, the industrial dwelling of the dwarves; Vanaheim, the lush home of the Warner gods; and Asgard, Essir The golden land of the gods.”
