Peugeot has started taking orders in the UK for its new Peugeot 408, which starts at £31,050 on the road, with first deliveries due to start in the first quarter of 2023.
The new 408 will be available with a range of engine and powertrain options, including a 128-horsepower 1.2-liter gasoline engine. There will also be models such as a 178-horsepower plug-in hybrid.
Inside, the new 408 features PEUGEOT’s latest i-Cockpit® and the new i-Connect® Advanced infotainment system. All models come standard with a 10-inch digital instrument panel, with GT models benefiting from 3D technology. Also included is a 10-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto as standard. PEUGEOT’s fully configurable virtual i-toggles are located below, providing instant access to frequently used functions such as climate control, phone contacts and app launch.
As part of its commitment to offer electrified models across its entire model range in 2023, the new 408 is available from launch with two highly efficient plug-in hybrid powertrains as well as a highly efficient PureTech petrol engine. The Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 combines a 179hp PureTech petrol engine with an 81kW electric motor for a combined output of 225hp, while the Hybrid 180 e-EAT8 model features a 150hp PureTech petrol engine and an 81kW electric motor for a combined power output of 180hp. Importantly, the hybrid system is available on every trim level from Allure to First Edition.
