Apple recently released some new updates for iPhone and iPad, including iOS 16.1.1 for iPhone and iPadOS 16.1.1 for iPad.
Apple’s release notes for the iOS 16.1.1 and iPadOS 16.1.1 software updates don’t specify what’s included in these updates. All the notes say they include some bug fixes. The update also comes with some security updates.
Now that we have a video from Brandon Butch that gives us a look at this new iPhone update, we can get a sense of what’s updated in this release.
As we can see from the video, this update fixes several bugs for the iPhone, one of which apparently affects Apple’s SKAdNetwork.
The update also fixes a WiFi bug introduced in the iOS 16.1 software update where people were experiencing iPhone disconnects from WiFi. There was also a bug related to the Phone app on the iPhone, which has been fixed.
The new iOS 16.1.1 and iPadOS 16.1.1 software updates are now available for download, and you can install them by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install.
Apple is currently working on iOS 16.2 in beta, and we previously heard that the update should be released sometime in December, probably around mid-December.
